I'm still new to the kegging community so forgive me if this sounds a little stupid. I've run out of room in my puny dorm fridge to hold what I need. Would it cause any probs if I were to keep the CO2 tank outside of the fridge?

It should'nt be any problem.

It's even better in a way. The CO2 will be at a higher temperature, so it will have more pressure and will and will last a little longer.

A warmer regulator is generally a faster-responding regulator. Also, not being subjected to condensation should favor an external location. Finally, you can give the low pressure gauge a quick check if you happen by without dumping cold air out of your cooler.

Both of my CO2 systems utilize external tanks...

Cheers!
