I'll check with the seller today. Looks like we are looking at 3 lbs total.

lawle102 - 0 LB
Jeffb418 - 1 LB
rubis - 2 LB

The seller thinks he has 4 lbs left. They would be around $27.80/lb shipped he says. But I may have found someone else selling them cheaper, just waiting on availability and shipping cost. His are 2011 as well, and looking at around $23.50 shipped per lb if he has any left.

The guy with Simcoe hops has 4 lbs left. We have 3lbs accounted for. Lawle no longer wants a lb. Anyone else want the last lb for $23.50 shipped? Let me know by 5 PM tonight.

Also, rubis... you are definitely in, correct?

Yes count me in for 2 lbs

I don't know yet. Keith is the one getting the checks and I believe he had to go on travel for work. I'm hoping to hear an update soon on payments.

After cashing the checks and money orders to pay for his trip, Cidah had to "travel for work" to the Caribbean, were he is complaining (but not too hard) about the lack of "real beer" while enjoying the sunshine.

Just kidding. :)

White sandy beaches, a gentle tropical breeze and an ice cold Red Stripe with a twist of lime. Life is good today. It just doesn't get any better than this. :D

Haven't talked to Keith yet, but the order should be going in sometime in the next day or so. Please keep an eye on this forum over the next few days in case something isn't in stock and needs to be substituted. This way we can quickly proceed with the order.

Hey all, thanks for the patience (just got back into town).

I have received all of the checks up to this point so we are in good shape for the order. I will confirm when the order is placed and obviously let you know the actual pricing for each person's order.

Thanks again for being patient. I hadn't expected this order to close up so quick, thus I didn't plan for having to coordinate all of the effort for this the last few days.

Will keep you all posted with a bit more frequency

Thank you guys for really making payment and good natured attitudes a priority. This makes the hours needed to make these buys go off without a hitch much easier on us. We have sure come a long way with our buys :D

FYI all - I just sent the order request out.

PLEASE CHECK THIS THREAD AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 24 HOURS IN CASE ITEMS ARE OUT OF STOCK AND MUST BE SUBSTITUTED

Holy crap, so after this bulk buy round, I'll have over 18 lbs of hops... I think I've over done it... just a little :ban:

Ha! You needed this buy to tell you that you have over done it! I walked down in my basement tonight thinking man I have to brew because I have no beer. Saw kegs of wry IPA, samuel jackson, bitter, lager, octoberfest, and one other I can't recall. On tap I have a sour, chocolate stout, hard cider, porter, witbier, and two IPAs. Looks like I won't be brewing this weekend after all :D

Still have you beat, gotta have 30# or more. I am having trouble keeping it organized so I can quickly find what I want. Maybe if I can get my act together I will take pictures.

My friends think I'm crazy and that I brew a lot. But I gotta say, I've got nothing on all you. I'm trying to stock up for winter, and by stock up...I mean 4 kegs.

cant wait for the grain and hops, need to get some beer in the pipe line for deer camp! Dead deer walking brown is first on the list.

Drink more. :)

Ok, to be a bit more serious, part of it (for me) has been a learning experience. I started doing this because a got (from a friend) a used fridge plus co2 plus reg plus tap system for $40. I figured great, beer on tap. I then found out I fought get crap beer in quarter kegs, e.g. Genny, bud, etc., or good beer in half barrels (carry 160 pounds into my basement, ouch, and never finish it), or get good beer in "sixers" at outrageous prices (e.g. $80-99 for a decent ipa).

So next I decided to try brewing extract kits, and found that kits were still 35-50$, usually closer to $50 for an ipa.

Then I discovered hbt and all-grain. I immediately went to all grain (after only 2 extract kits) using a modified Biab method and haven't looked back.

Once i found the group buy (at the same time as moving to all grain), I realized I could brew great tasting beer cheaply.

So, with bulk purchases of grain, reusing of yeast, and bulk purchases oh hops, I estimate my typical batch cost at under $15 (ipa) and even lower for session brews. Now we are talking!

At that price, I was able to try lots of recipes, and give a bunch of it away.

I've bought hops by the pound for as low as $6/#. At that price, it pays to get a bunch, vacuum seal it and freeze it. In the last buy, I bought 11# of cascade alone. I've also bought 14# or so from hops hack when they were selling certain varieties at 6 and 7 $.

So, maybe I've gone overboard...but I don't feel too bad because I've made sure I jumped on great prices when available and have made the modest investment to ensure they will last (vacuum sealed and frozen).
