Hi all,
Absolute HB newbie here, love beer and recieved a relatively cheap starter kit for father's day last year - fermenter is only 11.5 litres (approx. 3 gallons).
It's hung around for quite some time and finally two weeks ago I decided to break her in - ended up bottling last night....
Being the new "HB'er wannabe" that I am, I have no idea what went in or what the hydrometer (kit instructions were near useless) was for but some how everything seems to have worked - tasted a schooner glass of unprimed beer and I think it has potential judging by what I've read on these boards so far.
Thanks to all contributers on this forum, I've learnt a great deal of info regarding the basics in a relatively short amount of time - will definately help me this coming Saturday when I have another crack.
Once I get a better of grasp on what I'm doing, I'll certainly be investing in more equipment - two much larger fermenters for starters.....
Simon.
