Ok, so I met a buddy and had a few beers a lunch. Good time and kicked his ass at Golden Tees. Having a little bit of a buzz and internet access seems to be my Achilles Heel. God damn Northern Brewer for offering 5.99 shipping on EVERYTHING!

I ordered…

2 wine kits
A March Pump
A bunch of specialty grains
Several yeast strains.

A little over 3 bills total. SWMBO is gonna be PISSED when she sees the credit card bill this month – lol. Oh well, she bought a ring and a purse last week and her friends put a HUGE dent in my beer and wine supply.

I don’t know why I feel the need to post this – being drunk in the office probably has something to do with it.

Tell her it's all a present for me, then give it to me to prove it's a present.

...ya, that will help.

Thankfully, I warned her the pump was coming. I build it up in such a way that she thought it was going to be hundreds of dollars. When I told her the actual price, she was more accepting of the idea.

Oh, and my buddy picked up the lunch bill - so I have that going for me

So what are you going to brew with your new toys?

Hefe is next on my list. I'm just about out and I realized I have one more empty keg than I originally thought.

I ordered the stuff to do a 10 gal Grand Cru and a 10 gal Hob Goblin. I need some stuff that's going to be ready fairly quick as both my taps are close to spitting C02.

Ahhhhhhhhh, drunken lunch. Has the buzz worn off yet? :drunk:

I pay for all of my brew equipment out of 'my' money not 'shared' money. I have mine, she has hers, then we both put in to pay all the bills and stuff, so SWMBO can't say a damn thing about any of the stuff that I buy. It works out well.

Unfortunately, it has. I'm bad with money, so I'm more than happy to hand what I make over to the boss. She's quite good at budgeting and saving, so that's her deal. I'm just the ******* that overspends on my account every now and then. Honestly, it's a small price to pay for not having to worry about finances.

Same here, SWMBO takes are of all of the finances. I've always done that in the past, but this is SWMBO 2.0 and she's an incredibly detailed person so letting her take it over only made sense.

Rdwj is the kind of guy who wants something so he gets drunk for the sole purpose of blaming his purchase on being drunk.

I'm horrible with money, so My wife handles our finances. Otherwise, bills would NEVER get paid.

Hey, I've been drunk BUNCHES of times since I've wanted a pump. I actually went to buy the wine kits and the other stuff was just add ons.

I was reading this and thinking someone should grow a pair until I saw your post, lol. But then different situations and finances make for different marriages. How my woman put up with me for 30 years, I'll never know.:mug:
