I dont know about your grist, but Midwest Supplies has a nearly perfect clone called Ferocious. You could search there site and copy that recipe. The hops they use are Warrior as the bittering then a combo of Amarillo and Ahtanum maybe one more variety but NO centennial. And its dry hopped with 3 oz

Thanks, yeah, I checked out the Ferocious clone, which is what led me to the inclusion of the Munich....I'm trying to stick with hops I have in bulk, (9.25 oz of hops at $3 per oz would get expensive quick). Unfortunately, all I have on hand is Magnum, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo Gold, US Goldings, Fuggles, and Willamette. Midwest has a bunch of Simcoe in theirs, which I'd love to have, but alas, I don't. I'm hoping the Magnum-vs-Warrior switcheroo won't matter....and the Amarillo in Midwest's is why I have it in mine too...

I was on the fence with Centennial, but I like it as a hop, so I'm hoping it works out OK. Do you think it will, um, clash with anything? (Not sure of the brewing term for "hop won't taste right with everything else") I might swap out one of the Centennial adds for more Cascade though....loves me some Cascade.

I chose the Vienna because, to me, it gives my Edworts Haus clone a flavor I find similar to Surly's....not sure if it's true to form or not though...

If you follow this link and click on the cloneing the surly furious it has some good info. I have made both way's the midwest kit and this one and I have to say that this clone is definately more on point.
