After waiting two weeks in the bottle for my summer ale, the beer is so tart-lemonly that its makes me punker, it's like sucking on a lemon. I had a 4th of July party and when four of my friends tasted it, they all punker and looked at me wondering WHAT DID I DO! One of my friends did say ''it kinda grows on you'' It looks good, good head and carbonation. Should I let it sit for a week or two? or dump it? Why would it be so tart?

I have brewed a lot of light beers lately from blonde ales to cream ales to kolsch. Each of the brews have had a slight bitter tart bite to them as you describe till about a month. They mellow out great from there. Let them be brotha.

This was a Brewers Best kit, it was in the primary for two weeks, it came with a spice pack. I could have left the pack in the boil too long, other than that, I will wait a month before I try one.
thank you for the feed back.
