I was wondering what priming sugar I should use for my Pumpkin Ale. I don't want the carbonation too "fizzy" if that makes sense but now pure foam either. Any suggestions on what kind and how much?

I've always used corn sugar on all my bottled beers. Are you looking to carb or to add flavor as well? Corn is neutral. It adds no flavor I have discerned

There is no reason not use use your normal granulated table sugar. In other words, there's no advantage in using dextrose / corn sugar.

The amount of carbonation you get is directly proportional to how much sugar you use.

How much to use: How much beer do you have?

+1^

also, keep in mind that not ALL the stuff in your fermentor will make it into the bottling bucket. Usually for me, I lose about 1/2gal to trub going from fermentor to bottling bucket (5-6gal batch) so I subtract 1/2gal from my carb calcs
