What does "raise it by one point mean"?? Is it 1.001 or 1.1 or 1.01 or what?? I have seen this posted a couple times and have always been curious.
 
Is that just white cane sugar? Or does it also apply to brown sugar, corn sugar, and so on?

If those calculations accurate, it seems my upcoming cider will have a potential ABV of 15% and I imagine somewhere around 11% or 12% at maximum attenuation.
