stupidity cost me 96$

I left my thermapen out on the counter last night after making some smoked brisket . I am cutting the meat and I here "Pop, Pop" my grandson calling me. I go to the bathroom and there he is pointing to the toilet I peer in and there is the Thermapen in two pieces.

At least I had a promo from Thermoworks for the new water resistant one with free leather case and free shipping on my order so I added a water proof k probe for my other Thermo.

Funny thing is I bought it last year on March 18th so it was just sort of its first birthday.

very well it was a big hit with the family but then again I make it a few times a year . This one I glazed with a little of my home made maple syrup that I made last weekend .

It's so sad when the parent outlives the thermapen.
