Long story sorta condensed.
I have some washed WL001 that is several weeks old. Last week I created a starter with it but just before pitching I swapped out the yeast to try something different. Since I didn't use the starter I put it in the fridge thinking I'd use it on my next brew.
Well, it looks like I won't be needing this for a few more weeks since some other stuff popped up. Since this is already washed and I'm not sure how much longer it will keep it occurred to me I might be able to use the next few weeks to build up the starter by regularly pitching it into a new starter solution every few days. How bad/economical of an idea is this?
Then again maybe it's not worth the effort. Should I call it a loss and dump it?
