Stupid newbie keg line question

So picked up my line for had and liquid and am having som issues. Firstly I got home and looked at the line I got from my homebrew store and am wondering is this the right line. Line reads "bevlex 200 by kuriyama PVC tubing NSF-51" inside dia. Is 3/16. Did I get the right type of line and for the diameter it seems like it's too small for my cobra connection, I can get it on but just barely, is this how it should be?I was thinking the line should slide over fairly easily and the bands should secure, not that I should sturggle getting the line on my cobra and line out connection. My gas line with and inside diameter of 1/4 " fits easily over the connection on my gas and liquid connect on my keg, but not my regulator, it too small. So what do I do??

nsf is food grade. good stuff. hit the end with boiling water to soften it, it'll slip right on and after cooled off, may not require a hose clamp. none of my 5 gas connections or either cobra have hose clamps with 3/16 line.

thanks a ton, didn't even cross my mind, however on my regulator I don't think this trick will work, so what Size hose am I looking at? And is there some fitting I Need for my disconect for that size tube?

on the regulator.. it could be either 1/4, 5/16, or 3/8"

Any way to know? Also is there an adapter for that disconect? Also say I can get the hose on, do I need to worry about the line at all with the stretching?

Are you using a regulator with the beer line or beer line in replacement of the gas line? :cross:

You can use the boiling water trick on the 1/4" ID line to get it on the 5/16" barb for the Regulator end. Most of the quick disconnects come in 1/4" barb. So your 1/4" line should work with some boiling water. If you get the 5/16" ID line for the gas, then you will have to get grey quick disconnects with 1/4" MFL ends, then buy FFL 1/4" to 5/16" barbs.
