If I do get drunk or stupid enough to try the tricycle thing I'll be sure to discretely video tape it for posting here. I'll have to get a tripod so I can keep recording as the guy gets out and beats my ass to a pulp.

Some municipalities have noise ordinances. Sometimes these are regulated by the police department, sometimes they are regulated by the Health Department (Environmental Health).
I live in a very quiet Pasadena Ca suburb. The loudest thing IN the neighborhood is my modified Mustang.
I'm kind enough to PUSH my car out of the garage before I start it so the exhaust doesn't rattle the entire 6 units attached to my condo/apartment.
I don't feel the need to rev my engine any louder leaving then necessary to keep it idleing. Once out of the driveway that goes past all 6 apartments/condo's, I still drive like a church mouse until I'm out on the main street.
ON the mainstreet I drive like a normal human being and try to keep the noise down as much as possible. My car is LOUD as in ears bleeding loud.
However on the road coarse at Willow Springs all bets are off....
Talk to them... I do all the stuff I do because I know my car is loud and don't want to piss off the neighbors.
Has nothing to do with the Mustang... your neighbors are ****** bags bottom line.

this is what you do... you buy an old 82 firebird with T roof.. park it in the street not your driveway... put it on blocks,
remove the wheels. leave it there to rust.
put your weight bench on the lawn and blast cheesy aerosmith or van halen from your screen door while you pump iron.
they will move.
