Ok so I bottled my beer last night and I picked a few up just to check them out. On the bottom its almost as if sugar settled on the bottom and is stuck... im asuming this is very normal.

Also I brewed the english pale ail that is almost considered an esb from the guy who sold it to me. When bottling i noticed it looked alot lighter then when it was in the actual fermentor. I hope this is normal too because I don't want my beer coming out lighter then it should.

Did you boil your priming sugar in water? Did you priming sugar to the whole batch or one bottle at a time? How much stuff are we talking about on the bottom? How long did you wait to bottle after you brewed?

Chances are very good that you're fine on that front. It's normal for yeast to settle out to the bottom after bottling.

That's completely normal. Most of my beers look very dark in the fermenter, but it's just because the fermenter is much bigger so less light gets through and it looks darker than it will in a glass.

Patience. That it what I would say about the stuff in the bottom of your bottle. Just put the bottle down and walk away for a couple of weeks. :)

As for the color of the beer, it always looks darker in the carboy. The rule of thumb I use is that the final color will likely be a little darker than it looks in your siphon tubing when you are transfering it from your carboy to the bottling bucket.

Yes I boiled it in water... directions said 2 cups of water. I only got 5oz of sugar and online it says for every 5 oz's should be one cup i boiled it in 2 cups. I added it to the whole batch. I was a week and two days from brewing and we are only talking about just a little bit right now...

You are absolutely fine. I would suggest waiting three or four weeks before bottling next time, but I was impatient with my first batch and it still ended up being good beer.

Oh another thing...Is there a solution for getting all the beer from the bottom cause I did end up with some sedement in the bottom and it kinda clogged my hose. but thank god I got all the beer out of the bottling bucket.
