What I do in these circumstances, is to release all the head pressure, remove the liquid post, remove the poppet from the post, then also remove the poppet from the QD, and put it back on before regassing the keg.
This works well for most faucets. If you have a flow control like I do, hops can also get stuck there though, and I sometimes have to take the faucet off the shank to clean out gunk that has collected.
