I think I have a stuck check valve in one of the gas shut offs on my manifold. I think the previous owner got beer in the gas line and it got up to the check valve. Any thoughts as to how to unstick the valve?

Wonder if you could soak it in hot water and then try and depress the springy valve inside with a small screw driver or dental pick. It probably has sticky beer that dried inside it. The hot water may loosen it and you can then work the valve back and forth while holding it under water and see if that will make it work again. Google it too you might find some better answers.....

Yep, take it off, take it apart and clean it and put it back together. It doesn't work now so you have nothing to lose. If you can't fix it get a new one.

Like when my kids ask, Dad can you fix this? I don't know but I can take it apart. It didn't work before and I get to learn how it comes apart and hopefully how it goes back together.

Ps like I told my wife, some kid in Asia put this thing together, I think I can figure it out.

Sounds like we have the same kids! Sometime I think they are just testing my skills!! Now if I only had little Asian hands for assembly work....

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I was hoping to not have to take it apart, but it looks like that is what I am going to have to do.
