Hey guys, Hate to ask but I'm tired of struggling.

With my homebrew in kegerator I'm getting lots of air and very little foamy beer out of my tap. Its been hooked up to co2 for 2 weeks at 10psi and its hooked to 12 feet new line and new tap handle. What can cause lots of air instead of beer coming from the tap? Thanks in advance..

It just sounds overcarbed to me. If you have ball locks you could turn off the CO2 and bleed it off a couple of times. There are lots of suggestions on Homebrew talk about how to get overcarbed beer down quickly.
Per other's suggestions I am now carbing at about 25# for two days, then down to 10# for about a week, then down to only 5# or so to dispense. It is working great.

Just air coming out? Don't happen to have the dip tube and the little gas down tube on the opposite posts do you?
It would have gurgled like nuts when you first hooked it up

It's probably not air, I would imagine your beer is degassing a bit in the line and that's what you are experiencing. 12FT is pretty long if you are only pushing it out at 10psi too.

I don't think I've got those swapped around.. I'm gonna have to tear it down n retry anyway it appears..I'll check that. Thx

I got some used kegs when I started, and the rubber O-ring was missing on the liquid post dip tube of one of them, so lots of CO2 came out with minimal liquid. I knew what it was when I tested the pour with the keg on it's side so that the dip tube was fully submerged.
De-pressurized, disassembled the post, and put in a O-ring and it was good to go.

Edit: after rereading your post, I think andrewmaixner is right. Replace all of your orings.

Ya definitely check what andrew was talking about before you start massing around with the hose lengths. Were the kegs rebuilt?

That was it guys. The dip tube is damaged and that caused the o ring to be damaged when I reassembled. I'm going to replace dip tube and ring. Didn't have one so I couldn't test it but I'm sure you guys nailed it. Thanks!
