Was the corn syrup post from the same person?

I hate to say, I did have the though cross my mind that this might be a person who would be either uncomfortable going to a HSB for some reason, or that had some reason to not be able to mailorder supplies. I was also thinking how appearing the idea of making my OWN booze in high school would have been, rather than paying the creepy guy across town $5 to pick us up a eighteen-pack...

what are you guys referring to?

Not sure I'm thinking of anything real specific (although truthfully the use of a pressure pan certainly did spark an interest in strange things to use to brew beer). Just seems like every few months there is a set of posts that want to know how to use some rather crude methods or real strange ingrediants.

In the six months I've been here there has been some rather interesting threads of brewing beer. You've been here a while..... there has to be some real weird posts you've seen. Whats the strangest thing you've read here that pops in your mind?

Some people are really cheap and others are probably under-age. Both make for strange posts.

Some folks are just cheap and others are poor. I'm doing pretty good these days myself but there were some times in the past I made my own homemade wine to save a buck or two.

I thought it was a decent question. :(

There is no such thing as a poor question. As my grandmother always said, If you don't ask you'll never know.:)

You'll get some snark around here, but for the most part honest answers.

I've had several PMs from one guy in England about brewing and it seems that he wants to brew but not spend any $$$ for equipment.
It wasn't me!!!!:D

Yeah, you were the one who didn't want to spend any £££'s for equipment!
Look after the pennies and the £s look after themselves. What's wrong with using the kitchen sink covered with a garbage bag as a primary for tomato ketchup and molasses hooch anyway?????;) :D

Here's a noobie question. Can I use a used trash bag if I rinse it with a little bleach first? What if I don't have any bleach? :D

Use the search tool Noob! ;)

However if you don't have any bleach in your house AT ALL then you can truely call yourself a homebrewer. And probably a Marine too....:D

I keep seeing these references to your ol' Marine buddy, but it seems all (or at least most) of the offensive posts were deleted... sounded like there was a great story there.

Please you guys, just calm down! Everyone knows prison hooch is made in the U well of a steel toilet tank, not the kitchen sink!
