Hi there.Im thinking of brewing a stout with following.

X4 kg Maris Otter
X4 kg Munich 2
500g Oats
200g black malt
300g chocolate
250g Carafa Special

30g Liberty Hops 60min
20g Apollo Hops 10min

Any feedback?

Since there is not roasted barley, I don't think it is a stout, maybe more a porter. The oats are gonna help to have a good body on your're beer, although I would put more than that. Maybe something around 10-20% of your entire grain bill

Will the black malt not lend something to the smoky/burnt flavour. How much roasted barley would u add?

The Carafa 1 Special is a de-husked roasted barley..?

It will, but for the roasted flavor, I would use roasted barley. Carafa special will not work as good. Use roasted barley something around 5 to 10% of your grain bill, depending on how much you want the roasted flavor. I would personnaly only use 1 dark malt (black, chocolate), and replace it by roasted barley. You can still keep the Carafa though, it can add a little something.
