I've been storing my oxiclean & iodine in 2 5gal buckets mixed with the suggested amount of water with the lid sealed.
How long will these products remain active in the sealed buckets?

Thanks.

I have never heard of anyone story oxyclean...It's cheap and just a cleanser after all, and pretty much once the fizzyness stops, it is useless...

As to iodophor/iodine, if you use distilled or preboiled water and keep it pretty much airtight, it will last for several weeks (you know it is "done" when the straw color disappears.) I've had it last in a spray bottle for a couple of months...

One thing that a few of us do is to "prime" our stored buckets of iodophor with some fresh concentrate before using it...just add some till it goes back to the straw color it is supposed to be.
