So I purchased much more chocolate wheat than I will be using. How long will it keep, and how should I store it?

Milled or un-milled?

I don't know, but I've used specialty malts that I've stored for up to 2 years without any problem. If I have malts older than about 2 years, I throw them away, not because they're bad, but because if I haven't used them in the last 2 years, it's unlikely that I'll use them in the next 2 years.

Thank you. I doubt I'll be holding into it for two years (hopefully I'll be brewing again sooner than that!)

I'm pregnant and due the end of January so I'm sure with a new baby I won't have excess time to brew a lot. Just wanted to make sure the excess wouldn't go to waste

Food savers work great but if you don't have one just put the grain in a freezer bag and remove as mush of the o2 as you can. If kept in the freezer I would say 2-3 years could be expected. Just taste a few of them before using. Oh, and brewing with a kid is a lot more difficult for the first few years but then you get a great bottle washer!
