Hello,
Am making my second starter on a stir plate. I have a question. Details:
- wort is just under 1.040, made with DME
- Yeast is WLP002
-1.5 litre starter
- pitched the yeast yesterday at 1pm.
Within an hour of two of pitching it was bubbling.. By 5pm it was going full tilt.
By this morning it seems to be done bubbling, but the yeast looks like curdled milk. My girlfriend came into the bedroom this morning at about 9 to tell me my yeast looks like a vomit cauldron.
Is this normal? I am hoping to use half of this and harvest the other half this afternoon.
