My brewing career is in the planning/researching/wishing stage so far. I'm a mostly-unemployed theater tech, so money is a bit tight for spending on brewing equipment and supplies. I've helped my neighbor with a few batches so far, so I've got an idea of the process, and I'm looking forward to brewing once I've got some disposable income flowing once again. I also do some photography and web design.

I've also brewed my own ginger ale a couple times and am planning another batch of that for this afternoon.

Feel free to ask any questions and offer any advice you may have.

So... I'm no longer planning. I brewed my first batch today. I used the Dark Cherry Stout kit from Northern Brewer. Hopefully it will be ready for the wife's birthday the first week of March. I'm very excited.

Congratulations on jumping in with that NB Stout kit. I've heard good things, but haven't brewed it myself. I've had good luck cobbling together a system on the cheap. You just have to keep your eyes out and let your friends know to be on the lookout for some equipment you could use for brewing. It's amazing what others will find once you plant th seed. Hope all goes well with that stout, keep us posted on how it tastes.
