So I am doing an extract brew, for an ipa, and i have accidentally leg my steep of carapils get to a temp of 88c (or about 190f for those above the belt.). I have brought it back down to a more reasonable temp, but what will the impact of this brief but steep hike be?

Update: Also, apologies as I meant to put this in the extract brewing section, and don't know how to delete or move my post... :{

I don't think it will be a problem. You might get a tiny bit of huskiness but not much since your volumes are so low. Are you just steeping carapils to grab some dextrines?
