I've had my STC 1000 for a while. I've brewed 4 batches with it. I did a double batch (2-5 gal.) extracts. When I pulled the first carboy, I didn't notice that the temp probe escaped and was swinging wildly free outside the fridge... the next day I smell a wonderful malty aroma :p. Say it ain't so, say it ain't so :(. So. It had almost frozen my whole carboy, :tank: talk about cold crash. About a gallon of beer was on the floor, and not a straw in sight. Anyway, after that episode, my controller has lost all control and runs heat and cooling at the same time. is there a way to reset, reboot or otherwise bring my precious STC back to sanity? I do have a spare, but was hoping to use it on another fridge. Thanks,
Tom

After unplugging and re plugging it should automatically reset itself. After the 10minutes delay if I recall correctly might be 15 but I think it was 10? I'm sure you've tried unplugging it but someone else will be bound to ask also. That is odd behavior though since it was previously working properly.

Update... I don't know why , but I do know my controller got overheated. The housing is minimally warped from the heat. Good news is, I have a back up and it is cooling my Fresh Squeezed IPA nicely. At $22. or so, I need to get another spare. I do love the way they work (when they work).
