STC-1000+ issues

So, it's been awhile since I had to program one of these, but I finally got it to start working right.
To start out, I had the wrong temp for my target temp, so it kept trying to set my fermentation chamber to cold crash Temps. FINALLY figured that out.
New problem: temp is climing and the cooling cycle won't come on. I know my freezer is working because I can plug it directly into the wall and it comes on.
Any suggestions where to look for the problem? I'm sure it's user error, but I've gone through my settings and it LOOKS right to me.

Nope. At this point (over the set temp) neither does the heating light

Well, I'm not sure what I did, but I was running through the settings and felt it click, so I plugged the freezer back into the STC and now it's cooling. Only thing I changed was the dh Setting, which should not have affected the cooling, but ....

Yup. I had to watch a YouTube video to remind myself how to program it, so I could have easily missed something, but at least it's working now. Hopefully it won't go too far the other way

on cooling there is a delay before the compresor kicks in . May be it is set too long?

Could be. I wasn't cooling AT ALL. Then it wasn't heating. Had to go in and play with the settings; but it is working now
