Ok here's my issue, I used an extension cord to wire my stc 1000. I cut it in half and I hooked up the live wire to the power port (1), and the cooling port (7). I hooked up my neutral (white wire) to port 2. and that's it. I ran the ground (green) from one half of the cut extension cord to the other, it did not get hooked into a port. I did not use the heating ports at all. My problem is it wont cut off. The red indicator light cycles from cooling to heating but does not cut the power to the keezer. What did I do wrong?

What kind of outlet are you using? If it's a regular socket did you break off the tab? Edit
: I see you just used the cord sounds like you need to run a jumper over to 7 and connect the cord to port 8. If you've ever wired a light switch the stc 1000 operates the same way.

The connections on terminals 7 and 8 are switched. It may be possible that the relay is stuck and not opening when the controller reaches its set point. Do you have a volt ohm meter?

Got it. Thanks guys. I needed to run port 8 to the keezer only. I had all the "hot wires" running together causing constant power. I appreciate the "extra eyes" if you will. This place is great.
