Starter question

Hi Guys, I'm getting ready to brew my second batch of beer, an extract hefe, and had a question about making my first starter. I've read the instructions for making a starter on howtobrew.com and I was wondering if I should get an extra amount of DME to use for the starter or if just using some from the supply I am going to use for the beer ok? Thanks.

You can do either. If you use some from the kit, do not decant it.
