I searched (I swear) for this question.

Star San is a no rinse, it says that much on the bottle.

it does not indicate that you need to air dry, and Williams Brew Catalog indicates that it does not need to be air dried.

Question is this, do you guys fully Air Dry star san Sanitized parts, and if so are the bubbles ok? do they go away?

I let stuff drain, but it doesn't have to be dry. Don't fear the foam - it won't hurt your beer in the slightest. I know it feels strange to pour your hard work over bubbles, but really - it's fine!

awesome thanks

thats what the Williams Catalog indicated, but you never know...

tonight is the Root Beer with the kid, tomorrow DAD'S STUFF!!!

awesome

that stuff is Freakin awesome then, no wonder it's all I read about in the area of sanitation.

GOTTA GO GET A SPRAY BOTTLE!!

To be fair, the circumstances under which star san will harm metals are pretty durned rare making the difference negligible.

As much as I know the foam won't hurt, I still work to clean it out.

I give my secondary a quick spray with fresh cool water from the sink sprayer to knock down the foam a second time, then pour out again before I rack to it. I figure there's enough in there still that nothing will become unsanitary....

And with my bottles, we scrub them, pour the sanitizer out, and line them up, then before we rack to them, pour them all out again (producing about a teaspoon each more of liquid). Hey, I worked hard on this beer- I want to drink the beer, not whatever was in the bottle before the beer came along.

You're okay if you give it a quick rinse, no soaking though...

Yeah, the owern of 5-star said on one of the brewing network shows said the 30 second to 2 min contact time is no problem, but he doesnt reccomend letting it sit in there over night.
