If anyone is building a Cam based system and looking for the higher ID/OD barbs, mainland valve and fittings can sell you a 1/2" MPT x 5/8" barb in SS with a 90 degree built in which can be combined with the B type to get the setup in BobbyM's video with 'almost' full 1/2" flow without having to grind threads.
The part is not listed on their ebay store (http://stores.ebay.com/Mainland-Valve-and-Fitting-Inc) but you can email them to get the part, cost is $10.40 each - not cheap but if you want the functionality, it's cheaper and simpler than combining an elbow and barb.
Ah, gotcha. I bought all male-threaded QD's with the plan to do the street elbows, so I'm out of luck on those ones.
He also just has plain, straight 5/8" hose barbs for only $8 ea... that's the cheapest price I've seen anywhere: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200590143730#ht_2239wt_905
Those look great, though I'd like to know the size of the bore.
Try Bobby M at brewhardware.comHi guys
I am trying to order a set of cam locks for my pots and am finding ti hard to get some to ship them to me ( i live in New Zealand) does anyone know a supplier that will ship internationally.
Thanks Dean
So I got 4 of these recently, mine have the white silicone gasket inside - it's a really tight fit to get them shut. What's the trick to get them latched? It can't be that I'm that big of a wuss.

I am a wuss for sure - but I read this thread with guys saying they think they can do this one-handed without the rings and I'm thinking I might need to stand on them to get them closed...(and open for that matter)...
