Deal. Can you send me a picture and dimensions? If you have a keggle can you snap a shot of it in there? I am just concerned about it being not long enough since I only do 5 gallons right now.

Oh thanks but looking for a full ss one, something like stainless steel brewing sells.

Yeah good luck I've been on the hunt for one as well that's a little bit less expensive then 100. If you find one let me know

ya seems to be the going rate... be a good addition to my brewing though. For years I just dump everything into the fermentor but now I try to filter out things before it hits the bucket, stuff still gets by or clogs the dip tube which is just a pain to clear... think this will help clear up my brews a bit more.

I made mine without much issue, or expense. If you want details, I might have started a thread about it. I used all 300 and 400 grade stainless. Get a cake form ring in the size you like. If you want, I can cut you legs (I have some 303/304 stainless 1/4"-20 rod) and send you the nut combinations for a minimal amount. Basically enough to cover parts and shipping. I had to buy a lot of the nuts via McMaster-Carr, so I have plenty left over.

My spider does use a nylon mesh bag, but that makes cleanup easier. I used a combination of 4oz pellet and 3oz leaf hops yesterday and it held all of it without issue.

BTW, depending on the size ring you get, I have a stainless worm clamp/hose clamp that will work on it. With a thumb screw to tighten it.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks I thought about a mesh bag one but rather just keep on the lookout for a welded stainless one. I honestly don't mind just tossing in the hops then I use a screen when putting it into the bucket but it sometimes clogs the tube and I can't use whole hops. Growing my own, have 8 good plants going now, and soon I'll have a ton of whole hops to use why I'd like to get a spider mostly.

If you want 100% stainless (as in no nylon bag) then spend the $$ and get one the size you want from the guys that make them (Stainless Brewing). If you don't want to spend ~$100, then your only other option is 85% stainless with the nylon mesh bag. If you have a drill, you can make one like I did. I might end up with one from Stainless Brewing at some point. It's just a lower priority since I have something that works very well. It works with pellet AND leaf/whole hops easily. I had three ounces of leaf, and over four ounces of pellet in my spider yesterday. Seeing how it worked, I could use 8-10 ounces of leaf without issue. That's within a keggle too.
