Hi,

So I want to estimate de SRM of my beer. I'm planning to use these formulas :

MCU = (Weight of grain in lbs) * (Color of grain in degrees lovibond) / (volume in gallons)
SRM color = 1.4922 * (MCU ** 0.6859)

For that I need the color of grains in lovibond. Although homebrewtalk gives the color of grain in SRM directly. I saw somewhere that lovibond and SRM, FOR THE COLOR OF THE GRAIN, not the beer, is the same. Is that right?

By the way, When we use Crytals Malt 20L, which is 20 Lovibond, it is 20 SRM as well, that is why I think they might be the same for the grains
