No Spurs fans?

The whole series sucked I know but still. Go Spurs!

I don't follow Thug basketball any more, but I am glad a Texas team won again. When the NBA stops drafting high school kids and adopts a rule about no felons allowed, then that will show that they are serious about the game. I won't hold my breath.

yeah, its to bad that drafted high school player on the cavs...whats his name???.....pretty much turned the entire city of cleveland around, and he is quite a good role model for the youngsters.

anyways....i dont really care b/c I hate basketball....in fact i dont even know why i just wasted my time typing this post:confused:

I agree Ed. In fact I ranted last night about how the NBA is full of thugs, exact quote. All those ghetto neck tattoos and dirty playing, it's like street ball has infested the NBA. The fake fouling is ruining the game as well to me. Players are becoming more and more just actors pretending they got fouled. One guy on the Cavaliers fell down three times in a few minutes claiming fouls.

I'm mostly talking about the Cavaliers though. Spurs I like, lots of diversity. Top three players are from Belgium, Argentina and the Virgin Islands.

The Karl Malone flop is a well known tactic in TB (Thug Ball) today. :D

I'm one of nineteen NBA fans left in the country (according to Bill Simmons), and I couldn't watch that series... I can't wait for the draft, though!

MVP: David Stern or Robert Horry?

As Bill Simmons said, it's such as shame that David Stern pushed Amare and Diaw onto the court like that....

I was flipping through the channels when Game 4 was on, and stayed there for about two minutes. As I told the wife, "Hey, I just increased the Finals' viewership by 20%!" Ugh...

Stern can't be a happy man, the lowest ratings for any final, Champtionship games where the two "best" teams in the league can't crack eighty points, and the league's two new saviors buried in the Pacific northwest...

But, I can't wait until the Suns trade Matrix to the C's for Ratliff's corpse! I'm waiting for the Suns to be the first team to only give minutes to four players...

After San Antonio beat Phoenix I thought they would be hard to stop. I truly did not expect a sweep over Clevland though. It is nice to live in a city that has so much going for it and now a NBA Dynasty. I hope the spurs win 4 more in the next 10.

What was really, REALLY painful was hearing the comparisons being made between Duncan/Popovich and Bill Russell/Red, and realizing how valid they were.

REALLY painful, magnified by how we SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN DUNCAN TEN YEARS AGO (and how the most recent lotto went)

THAT SHOULD BE OUR DYNASTY, DAMMIT!

(of course, Pitino would have screwed it up)

I believe they already have a new rule against signing highschool kids, I think it was called the LeBron rule.
Another reason to love the Spurs, no thugs.
Az seems to be full of whiners. The rule is you don't leave the bench. Can't change it for two boneheads because it's the playoffs. Robert had mind control over them and made them leave the bench...ya, that's it!
