Went to the SCBF yesterday (day session) at Nassau Coliseum. Highlights were many. We were disappointed by Blue Moon's Dark Chocolate Bacon Porter. It tasted more like Black Forrest Ham than bacon. I was repulsed by a Lavender Honey Beer (I don't remember who brewed it). It tasted like lavender dishwater. Waaay too much lavender. There was also a rye beer with caraway seeds that tasted like liquid rye bread. It might have paired well with some corned beef, kraut and Swiss.
