Hello everyone, I brewed an 8 gallon all grain batch of ed worts pale ale that was split between two 5 gallon buckets. One batch Tastes fine the other has a strong acetone/ strong alcohol flavor and had a weird crust on top. I am trying to determine the cause to prevent this again and figure out if this flavor will mellow in the bottles. I have brewed over twenty batches and have never had this flavor or crust. Any help would be appreciated

OG: 1.050
FG: 1.013

Yeast used was s-04 slurry that was about 3 months old.

Repitched at 3 days with 1 packet of s-04 split since the slurry didn't start up.

Temp was around 65-70F (basement)

Time in primary 6 weeks (too busy to bottle)

Bottled 5 days ago and bottles are carbing up already.
