I've got an Ordinary Bitter in the primary that I'm planning on naturally carbonating via corn sugar and serving through a homemade beer engine.
The engine is being built according to these instructions – http://***********/component/resource/article/349-build-a-beer-engine-projects –*and they luckily include a short how-to on making a sparkler tip.
My question, I guess, is how reliable does that sparkler tip look? I've drank a few cask ales in my day, but I have to say I've never looked at the tip. Are nine holes enough? Is any pattern more effective than another? The holes will be drilled with professional equipment, so I think I can do more if I need to.
Thanks.
