Could someone please explain the storage process to me for AG? I converted a 48qt cooler and do not have a false bottom and am using a toilet line. I only have 1 AG batch under my belt. Last time after my mash in, I drained 3 gallons off like instructed. I heated my sparge water and then mixed up the grain bed and then let it rest for fifteen minutes. Did I do this right or was I way off.

Thanks!!

I usually drain or completely or at least as long it takes too heat My sparge water. There is an interesting post on here about mash out single sparge (moss) vs mash out double sparge (mods) if you are interested.

But yes as long as you weren't way off on your gravity you are fine.

I let mine rest for 10 minutes, but maybe 15 is better? Hopefully someone will come along and tell us. :)
