Pallet is full!

I'm going to try to get the invoices out sunday night. Double check your orders for errors.

I see that the Briess grain is not orderable but what about the Briess malt extract? I use extract to make my yeast starters cause it's a heck of a lot easier than mashing grain to do it.

Thanks!

You do have to consider the Local Homebrew Supply Store when it comes to small quantities of specialty grains. After all, without the homebrew supply shops, you'd get all dry yeasts, and none of all the little specialty items you can't get locally.

I know on-line trade including shipping may seem like a good way to go, but you really need the local homebrew shops to drum up new brewers, help support the clubs, and keep the trend going!

DO SUPPORT YOUR LHBS WHEN EVER POSSIBLE!

I'll toast to that! :mug:

I have ordered both the liquid and dry extract in the past so i may already be locked into it like i am with chemicals. I'll look into it for you.

I have to push those invoices back until tomorrow night (monday). Last day of work and house buying business had me tied up all day! I'll get them out asap.

Paid. Thanks for putting this together. If anyone is interested in some secret yeast from DFH, I have a couple of washed jars left.

Updated the payments on the first post! Thanks guys.

Native, Have you used this yeast yourself yet? What kind of profile does it have?

I'm posting questions regarding the yeast here. If you check out my thread it will fill in what I know about this yeast. Def a belgian/saison yeast I beleive, but others may draw their own conclusion. It produced my best beer to date, a Saison, it is spicy upfront with a silky, clean mouthfeel, finishing with a hint of citrus. I'm definately using this again for my summer brews

OK so here is what they gave me regarding the mystery yeast.

Homebrew Yeast:

The mystery ingredient that will help you produce a most awe-inspiring beer, will be yeast. The yeast that has been chosen by Dogfish for you to use is will be called mystery X? This yeast will produce a pretty estery beer. There will be hints of pepper, citrus and have a somewhat spicy character. You may want to use the additions of spices and use hops that aromatic? Will produce a very attenuated finish beer. Lastly, it will leave you with a smooth and full bodied beer in the mouthfeel.

Flocculation on this yeast will be low

Attenuation between 77-83%

Fermentation temps 65-77dF

Alcohol should be limited to below 12abv

I'll take a jar of that yeast if it's still available man.

1 jar down, 1 to go

I will actually be picking my grain up this time (fingers crossed) so I can bring the yeast with me then.

These are nice size jars and could be split into 3-4 different uses if careful sanitation is used. I don't have the tubes to do it, but feel free to pass the joyfullness of free yeast on to the next fellow homebrewer. :mug:
