Do you want part of our GW-C15? I don't need a 1/2 sack.

Does anyone want to split CM-WHET or BD-VIEN?

Count me in for FB-PILS
Also, has anyone considered a grain swap thread? I love the prices of the bulk buys, but even with the 1/3 splits, I end up with much more specialty grain then I really need. Anyone interested in starting a grain swap thread?

I would just buy 5 pounds at a time from the LHBS...thats what I do on something I dont use to often...swap sounds like alot of confusion to me.

Would someone 50/50 or 1/3 a bag of rye with me? Please! My lbhs does not sell it and I need it, just not 50 lbs.

You do have to consider the Local Homebrew Supply Store when it comes to small quantities of specialty grains. After all, without the homebrew supply shops, you'd get all dry yeasts, and none of all the little specialty items you can't get locally.

I know on-line trade including shipping may seem like a good way to go, but you really need the local homebrew shops to drum up new brewers, help support the clubs, and keep the trend going!

DO SUPPORT YOUR LHBS WHEN EVER POSSIBLE!

I had a 50 lb bag split into 2 5 gallon buckets, but these bags are 55. I think it would be safe to say 25 lbs per 5 gallon bucket. You could use ziplocks for the rest. Maybe one of the other guys would know.

Thanks. When you said ziplocks my mind wandered and I was picturing hundreds of the little sandwich baggies. Lol.

First off a big thank you to the mangement here at the SJ/PGB:mug:

Regarding the above, I have 10 lbs of chocalate malt from a previous buy that may likely go to waste...willing to trade some/most for a song/malt/hops?...please PM so as not to clutter this fine thread.

Ty, Is it just You(3g) and kapbrew(1g) splitting that StarSan or should i be invoicing anyone else when this fills?

3 more to go!

Yeah, charge me for three...I will get the $$ from the other guys who live in my area later.

How many buckets for a 1/2 bag split?

Definitely need more room than a five gallon HD or Lowe's bucket for a 55# split. However, if you have a big 6 or 7 gallon old fermenter bucket laying around, they take the load quite nicely. I usually retire my old fermenter buckets and give them new life as grain storage.
