I have been a member here for a couple days, and have been doing research every chance I get trying to find the answers I've been looking for with no luck.

I'm trying to find a chest freezer that will fit in a limited space area, and I need it to fit 2 slim 1/4 kegs, or at the very least 1 slim and 1 1/6th, plus a 5lb Co2 tank. I've been reading the "sizing for corny kegs" thread and i'm thinking a small 5.0 or 5.5cf freezer will do, but would like to know if anyone else has this setup? For the time being, I will only have one tap and tower setup, but will add another soon.

Also, anyone in the columbus, ohio area know if delmar distributing or superior beverage group sells slim 1/4's?

Sorry, I'm new to all of this. I'm trying to build my bar this weekend and need to know what size freezer i'm using to build it around.

Thanks,
Dillan

I don't have any personal experience with the slim 1/4 barrels but according to this they are a full 2 inches larger in diameter than corny kegs. Looking at EdWort's pics in the sizing sticky I don't think those will fit - at least not two of them at once.

I just went to lowes and found a 7cu.ft holiday freezer for $179. It's a lot wider than I had wanted, but I'll find a way to build my bar around it. I just need to make sure I can get slim 1/4's at the local keg distributer, so it'll have to wait til Monday

Slim 1/4 are hard to find, most breweries don't fill them. I think I can only get a couple from my local liquor store. Your distributor will let you know.

Okay. I want to get into brewing my own beer, but I want to get everything up and running first. Maybe i'll have to figure out how to transfer from commercial kegs to corny kegs and do it that way. I'm just in the process of buying the house off of my dad, so i'm trying to get this stuff done on somewhat of a budget, before I have to start paying the house payment within the next couple weeks. I'm just getting so impatient that I dont want to wait til monday lol
