Hello all,

I have decided to wrap a recipe of my own up and had a few questions

batch size: 15 gallons
Hops: 4 oz fuggles
4 oz kent goldings

grain: base-22 pounds marris otter
2 pounds wheat
2 pounds caramunich


I feel like this recipe will be very delicous but beer smith is telling me that the brew is going to be pitch black, this is my first marris otter batch, I usually stick with pilsner or something a little light brown, but I want to expand my recipe. Any suggestions?

Did you tell the program about the 15 gallon batch size? Brewmaster's Warehouse gives SRM = 9.
