My better half and I are trying to think up a creatve brewery name. She has celiac disease--cant eat gluten: a protein in rye, barley, wheat--and the focus of the operation would be experimental brews using ancient and uncommon grains--buckwheat, sorghum, amaranth, quinoa, teff, and arrowroot. We want something quirky and homey. I am of German descent, so that could also play a part in the name.

some ideas include:
Hite's Pitch--Hite is my last name(pronounced like the word height)
Against The Grain--already taken, but we loved the idea
Oma Bergman's--Oma=grandmother in German, and bergman is the maiden name

Something along the lines of "against the grain" would be awesome but open to any suggestions.

Thanks for the input, We were just discussing something along that line but didn't sound as nice as yours!

I will be looking for my invitation to your grand opening!!

"That's a great name for your brewery! How did you think of that one?"

"Oh, somebody on the Internet thought of it for us."

"Ah."

6 deadly sins
or for the German, Sechs deadly sins

different approach, but if you get it, you get it. If you don't, well I guess no need to explain :)
