Software for automated electric brewery

Hi everyone.. I finally choose my Herms Brewery setup, and i have a friend that tells me about CraftbeerPi as a good software to control brewing process..

I had a look on the web to collect informations about it, but not all my doubts had an answer...

So do you think that CraftbeerPi is a good os for brewing, with all you need for?? Are you using something different/better?

Do i control solenoid valves with craftbeerpi? Can i "save" a valve configuration for each brew process, that allow me, only selecting for examble "mash recirculation" setup, to have all valves moving automatically in right position for the process choosed...

Check out the automated section of this forum. I am not using this software but I have seen several posts from people who have and could likely answer your questions.
