sodastream tank for corny?

What do you think about carbonating a 5gal corny keg with a sodastream co2 bottle (~1 lb)? Would it work?

I believe this has been discussed here before and it was decided it would be significantly more expensive than just using a CO2 tank.

Assume:
+ I have a 1 lb sodastream bottle
+ I do not have a co2 tank
+ I can refill my sodastream bottle for $1
+ I have all fittings/regulator to connect the sodastream bottle to a corny keg

If it works, it is actually cheaper than buying and using a co2 tank ...if I can fill my 1lb co2 bottle 5 times for a total of $5, rather than paying $10-$20 to fill a co2 tank + cost of co2 tank.

Why not try to carbonate the beer at each use using the sodastream? It would require intense sanitization practices...
