I will start gearing up this weekend, and should have my first batch going sometime in January. Beer and mead are on the agenda for me, and I may try to get the wife to try wine making too. Definitely get the wife involved. My hubby and I have been brewing together for about 5 years and it's a great hobby to share. Also, when both of you brew, there are never any arguments about how much money you spend on the hobby. :D
