I managed to get an O2 concentrator from gov't surplus auction for about as much $$ as I was willing to risk on a bum deal...you know, incase it was totally broke.
Well now I have it at home and it seems the durable supply places in town wont service it unless they issued it.
(I called my cpap place first, since I am already a customer.)
Also, the concentrator company doesn't seem to even know who their service people are in town as they sent me to a wheel chair shop.
So...anyone work on one of these? Any thoughts on:
- How do I test that it is concentrating? (Do I just rely on fact that no alarm sensors are going off? Do I rely on that little floating ball in the regulator?)
- How would I go about repairing one of these? (I have tinkered with A LOT of things over my life, my only concern would be if that concentrator mineral thingy needed to be replaced?)
