I am looking for a good 3 gallon small batch recipe to make this weekend. I typically do 5g batches but both kegs are full so would like to do a 2-3 gallon batch to bottle to take on the road next month. Does anyone know any good all grain or partial mash kits or ingredients needed? I do have beer smith but am still learning how to convert from 5gallon to smaller batches. Any help would be great. Looking for perhaps a spring type beer as I live in Texas and would like a good spring style beer.

I brew exclusively 2.5 gallon batches in my small apartment.... here is a recipe for a super simple PA I did recently and it turned out great. You could easily change the hop schedule around or use a darker crystal malt, but the body was really light, would be a great summer beer.

5lbs 2 row
8 oz Crystal 40
5 oz flaked wheat

.25oz citra 60min
.5oz citra 15min
.5oz amarilla 15min
.25 citra 10min
.25 amarillo 10min
.25 citra 5min
.25 amarillo 5min
.25citra 1min
.25 amarillo 1min

.5 citra dry hop in secondary for 1 week
.5 amarillo dry hop in secondary for 1 week

Whirlfloc 10min
Safale 05 yeast

7.25 quarts at 163 and mash for 60 minutes at 152.
2 step batch sparge with 1.5 gallon per sparge at 170 (total 3 gallon sparge)

This is for 3 gallons. A crispy, super simple Blonde ale.

1.050 @ 75% est. efficiency.

5# 2 row
.5# carapils

Mash 152 for 45-60min in 9 qt. (~1.6 qt/ lb.) single batch sparge to preboil volume.

.5 oz Fuggle 60 minutes
