...to the patron Saint of homemade beer... well... anyway. I thought it would be cool if we all raised a toast on this St. Paddy's Day. I'll start:

Here's my Rapture Red Ale, an Irish-style Red Ale late-hopped with Willamette and Cascade. Delicious!

We'll also be drinking a homemade English Pale, American Hefeweizen, and Hard Cider.

Here you go Bright Spot :D

It is wonderful for my first brew. It is an extract kit from morebeer.com brewmaster series.

If I could make one improvement, it would be a late hop addition of something very floral, just to give more of a nose.

The best part is that my landlord likes it so much I have been designated the freezer in the garage as a ferm temp controller. He is an HVAC pro, so he already had the controls!

Cheers! This is a pint of my amber ale... i didn't pour it very well and didn't get a good head on it like i wanted... and i'm still learning my Nikon D3100 so i didn't capture the CO2 bubbles.

Go to the flickr page for image #2 for the recipe.

Images didn't load :(

image fixed...just now started using flickr and they don't like direct linking apparently. took me a second to find how to do it. Now, if someone tells me how to make that thumbnail a bit smaller that'd be great too...
