Single Element 240v Panel

Hey guys, So it looks like I am going to be buying a 20gallon Blichmann BoilerMaker kettle that was built to represent Kal's Electric Brewery setup. I'm slowly moving to a full electric setup but I'm not going to have the money to push on all at once, plus SWMBO would not go for that just yet. I was wanting to know if anyone has a diagram or ideas of building a one element panel setup up. Similar to his, but with just one element setup? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I've got lots of single element designs. From extremely simple to panels with provisions for pumps and interlocks to prevent turning on the power with pump or element switches on. What features do you want in your panel?

Well I think maybe hook me up with two. One that would run strictly the one element in the boil kettle, and then one that I can hook my pump up with as well. I'm just trying to turn part of my process electric as it has came available to me, or I would just continue using gas.

You going to hard wire it to the house wiring, or plug it into a dryer outlet (or similar)? If plug in, is the outlet wired for 3-wire or 4-wire? Do you want something that is expandable (so you don't have to discard any components when you upgrade), or cheapest possible?

I have a single element 240 bare bones panel. I've been using it for BIAB for years with no desire for an upgrade. All you need is a PID and an SSR. Really simple and works great. As doug mentioned you would need to explain how you plan on connecting it to house power for a complete diagram. Also take a look at EZBoil from aubrins. It seems they're getting popular. Instead of dealing with PID parameters and button pushing on a PID you just adjust power with a knob,I don't have one but they seem simple and effective.

Most of my designs use the EZBoil. I only use other controllers if someone specifically requests something else.
