Just so you know, SMASH means single malt and single hop. So the crystal makes it a SH.

That said, looks like a solid pale ale. I would up the dryhop if you have any extra Simcoe.

I just brewed something pretty similar to that with all Vienna...you could just drop the crystal altogether and make it a real smash. Would let the Simcoe shine a bit more too

Just a note -

This beer turned out amazing. Really. Holy crap good.

Only thing - no pine. Lots of citrus. Not grapefruit citrus. More orange. With some peach in there I think. Definitely not picking up pine.

So - my search for a piney hop will continue...

Till then, I'm going to enjoy the crap out of this one.

Try Eureka! Hop, I picked up a pound, tossed it in with Simcoe but have not done a single hop ipa with it yet. It's described as having a pine fruit character, food for thought.

Aside from simcoe , Chinook is by far the pineyest thing out there IME. Followed by eureka, Dr rudi, southern cross, and Columbus. I usually do some combo of these for my pine based black ipas

I am with m00ps on Chinook being the piney-est. I made a hoppy dark ale using just Chinook and wished I hadn't. IMHO, it needs another hops to off-set the extreme pine flavour.
