Here are some labels I've made for some friends who also homebrew. Their last names are Brewer (really!) and Gilchrist, hence Brewchrist. The playing around with Biblical names and iconography-stylized art ensued from there.

I'm still trying to figure out how I want to stylize the labels for my own homebrew! But drawing stuff for my friends is certainly good practice.

He's actually meant to look like the "Brewer" half of "Brewchrist," since this is his birthday beer, but it could certainly be said that my friend resembles the character as well...

Potential final draft of my label for my very first rims biab with red x malt.
I named it this because I'm sure all he!! is gonna break loose on brewday in a couple of weeks

Got snowed in yesterday so here's two I came up with.

The wine is dragon's blood, but the crowd around here that drinks it would likely turn their nose up at that name.

I usually make the labels before I make the beers. Anyhow this is for one that I will be brewing tomorrow.

this is awesome, wish I cold come up with a simple clean look like this

This is for my son Cheyne's wedding to Sandy. We call them Chandy pronounced (Shandy). The beer is a Hef though. Go figure. Wedding is Friday 2-20-15 and we will serve this at the reception.

Made my first labels for a homebrew comp at my local pub. Let's hope the beers do well. My first competition! Winner has a commercial batch of their beer made at a local microbrewery!

Use your favorite photo editing software to resize the images. This usually comes with an option to maintain the original aspect ratio, so you don't have to do any math.

Love it! I love the white labels. Like Maine Beer Co. Uses less ink, too.

I like the hop scale a lot! That'd be good when sharing with uninitiated folks. Overall, nicely done!

I put the bitterness in IBU's but bitterness and hop flavor are a couple different things these days.

So the bitterness level is indicated by a number.. but the hop flavor in the beer is shown in the scale.

My RIS has a really high bitterness but not much actual hop flavor.. so i would have something like IBU: 70 and then only have maybe 2 of the 4 hop cones filled.. especially since that beer ages and the bitterness hop flavor both drop out over time.

When I googled Tan Line, I got plenty of images along those lines!

Ok OK OK.. this time this is it.. i finally settled on what I want for my label background and neckers. I printed the previous one out and was unhappy with it. Now im locking down and keeping this format.

I like how this looks. Compared to your other label, my eyes were drawn to the QR code.

Now my eyes are drawn to your Logo.

Of course it will look a little different when it is on a bottle but still it seems people like to read top to down and Right to Left.
